Zergling and Drone rush- easy
P

a risky stragedy, but still good if your good enough and find you opponents fast enough. Only works 1vs1. This is a similar strategy to the 5pool rush but it consists of drone support.

Mutalisk staking- Intermediate

Mutalisk stacking is basically when a player stacks mutalisks, most of us have watch the ‘pro’ replays and seen people do this, some assume its a hack, while others think it’s just really, really good micro. Others think that they stack them up on mineral patches. That works, but not too well, and they eventually become scattered out requiring you to go back to a mineral or unit or whatever you use to stack them.

First, try using your overlords or buildings or minerals to stack them. Notice how they stack, but it is still visible that there are many mutalisks, and after a while of moving about, they start to scatter around. That is not the method i will tell you, I will show you a way to keep them stacked and to the enemy, seem as if there are only one or two mutalisks.

Step-by-Step:
1) Select a unit that is not likely to move (these include unupgraded overlords, trapped units, and most useful, burrowed units such as zerglings)
2) Assign it a hotkey.
3) Hold the shift key and select the mutalisks you want to stack, note that you cannot have more than 11 mutalisks using this method. Assign it a hotkey with the burrowed unit.
4) the hotkey now includes, 1 unmoving unit, and up to 11 mutalisks.
5) move the whole group somewhere outside your base. The mutalisks should go there, and the unmoving unit stay inside your base, as it shouldn’t move. Thats why its called an unmoving unit.
6) Now try moving your mutalisks around. Make sure that the unmoving unit is OUTSIDE YOUR FIELD OF VISION. This is the trick. Now, as you move your mutalisks around, you will notice how easily and cleanly they stack on to each other.

Uses of stacking mutalisks:
With this, you can micro the mutalisks into your opponents base, right click on a worker unit, as soon as you see/hear the glave wurms shooting out, right click somewhere behind the mutalisks. The mutalisks should immediately move back, with no slowdown. This is useful for taking down marine and medic groups, as one simultaneous hit from your 11 mutalisks will kill the target, and the next target the wurms hit.

Be sure to upgrade flyer attack, since each upgrade will add 11 damage to your one simultaneous hit, 2 will add 22, makes upgrades look much more important than the “omg! 1 attack lollol useless!!”
perspective.

This also works for the Scouts and Wraiths and maybe more but I have yet to try them. Mutalisk stacking is more useful however, because they move fast, attack fast, and are easily spammable. Also, Zerg have burrowed units which makes this much easier to execute.

Cliffing Siege – easy

Easy cliff siegetanks, in cliffs/ with enough air or turrets defending it. If you oponent is close enough I suggest lifting a factory, but if its far away youll probably get killed before you make it there. If the cliff reaches close to the minerals you should siege there. Go for cc, academy and add ons exept comsat station.

Three marine spin/ attack - really hard

This is vs a lurker. first of all, MAKE SURE IT IS NOT A LURKER STACK. Then, the lurker will attack, you. When it attacks move all the marines to the left, or to the right. Then attack then left then attack until it dies.

Vulture Micro – easy

Simple press “p” for patrol, then click near the unit. Works only for close combat units.
