Waffles? YEA!

I now have time to update this blog! HUPLAH!!!! HUPLAH!!!

Okay, now for the LONG LINE OF UPDATES:

So… starcraft.org is back up and running again! Good for them.

I probably skipped alot of news and really, I don’t care for them.

One thing is for many angry fans, starcraft IS indeed actually coming sooner than expected. Well, its still delayed, but they un-delayed some of that delayed stuff. Pretty confusing huh? lol. So instead of making a whole game Blizzard is going to have a first game with the terran campaign, but with all three races. The second expantion will have the Zerg campaign and the Protoss will come later. The first package will be able to let Battle.net work so multiplayer games are granted. Also you can test this out by buying some tickets at the Blizzcon which is coming soon.

More news and pages are coming soon.

Hilarious.

There is bad news for all you gamers out there that were hoping to buy Starcraft 2 for this Christmas. Actvision had stated that the game would not be ready until somewhere around 2009.

Next year’s offerings from Activision Blizzard should include highly anticipated PC strategy title StarCraft II, the sequel to one of the world’s most enduringly popular games. — mentioned by Activision Asia Pacific VP Phillip Early at the Activate Asia Pacific.

They could be what your looking for. Yes, I will keep updating this, but not as much as I did long time ago.

Starcraft.Org where are you?

22 SepamTue, 09 Sep 2008 01:49:31 +0000, 2008

I haven’t post in a long time cause there hasnt been any news about starcraft lately and also IM working on other blogs too. So what  happened to starcraft.org?

Hi all!

I really must apologize for our recent downtime and overall network connectivity issues. We’re still in the process of migrating 10 years worth of website and network over to a brand new infrastructure. As I have shared with a few of you, it is an incredible new system for us and will hopefully help to alleviate most of the issues we’ve had in the last couple years.. with some room to grow.

I must admit the timing of this move was poorly placed, as I (this week) was in the middle of also moving myself and my belongings to a new apartment and getting back into the swing of things for another new school-year. This did not help our timetable in getting things transitioned.

While we await our new cluster to be fully established at a new datacenter and take the necessary time to transfer and re-initialize the sites on their new homes.. I will do all I can to make sure we will be seeing significant performance and possibly feature additions to these sites. With the coming-launch of a new ORG Diablo site, Khanduras.org, the growing pains that SC.org is experiencing for the first time in years, and the continual load that a site like WarBoards offers we’ve a lot on our plate to improve.

I do not wish to try and excuse this downtime, it’s inexcusable, but at this point necessary and unavoidable for me. We hope to be back online and running ASAP, it isn’t to anyone’s advantage for the sites to be down. Yours or mine. I can promise you we’ll have great coverage of BlizzCon in October as well as some more changes in our network as the weeks press on.

Until then, I’ll do my best to keep you all better informed of the current state of affairs, I’ve just been ridiculously busy in my personal life which always tends to pull 1:1 away from the time I spend on ORG.

<3 your local ORG Network alderman.

So……….. thats it? They should have given us some warning!

4th race? / sneaky terrans

22 AugpmSat, 30 Aug 2008 19:27:44 +0000, 2008

We talked about the possibility of a fourth race early on, but we felt like we had a finite amount of great ideas and wanted to make sure we focused all the cool, best ideas on the existing three races rather than diluting those ideas across four races

We don’t have the resources or time to add a fourth race to the launch of StarCraft II, but I’m sure in the event that we decide to do an expansion set it’s a feature that’ll come up for discussion

Read this terrans are sneaky :D

Thought I’d share with you guys that in internal gameplay, we’ve had some poor souls find out the hard way that apparently if you are playing Terran and you immediately lift off your command center to a close by high yield mineral field, you will easily make up the difference of the time lost from collecting minerals during that period, and essentially be able to out produce any other race very quickly. Thus far, it seems like it is easy to defend this new fast expansion strategy. Nonetheless, I’m sure it will be balanced in the coming weeks, but thought it was funny so I thought I’d share.

Sneaky Terrans they are.

Neutral Dodloads

22 AugamThu, 28 Aug 2008 02:33:51 +0000, 2008

In the last convention it shows a few videos about a few things that are quite interesting. In a video, some protoss had to destroy a neutral barrier to pass the squad. I think these barricades will do a quite important role in starcraft, maybe building something next to it to detect? We’ll find out soon enough!

Barrier

Dark Pylon of Sc2

22 AugamTue, 26 Aug 2008 01:30:57 +0000, 2008

First of all, what is a dark pylon? Dark Pylons are Protoss buildings that possibly will appear in StarCraft II. They will cloak nearby buildings instead of powering them.

Well, is it in the game?

The Dark Pylon is not in the multiplayer version of the game. Originally, when it was being tested, it would cloak buildings in a radius around the building, making it more difficult for enemies to scout out ‘tech’ buildings in a Protoss base, to determine how they were teching. Additionally, it also hid base defenses until they began firing.

The Dark Pylon was taken out because it was not found as useful as what was intended. There are discussions of finding a possible replacement building that would also serve as a base defense, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

Eh? so………… -_- I wanna no too!
